Recently at Portland State University there has been a (silly) debate over whether or not we should welcome MTVU into our campus.
Basically, MTV would pay to give us like 100 brand new, giant plasma screen tvs that would play a special channel called MTVU 24 hours a day. This channel would feature weird "indie" artists and fucked-up shows like the one where rockers like maralyn manson teach sociology classes at Berkley for a day.
Apparently the channel is very very college-y and is even vocal about queer rights including one show called "how do I say this?" that follows the progress of LGBT homeslices as they attempt to come out to their friends and family (and are thus killed violently with rocks and sticks because THATS WHAT FUCKING HAPPENS).
The article for which this was an illustration basically summed up their opinion with "so why not?" But a better question is "WHY?" You really don't lose or gain anything from having TV's installed in your dining facilities, but I'm pretty sure that this channel will NOT be entertaining and I garuntee that it will be totallyfull of commercials.
So here's hoping that my school does not chomp down on the corporate omni-teat.
Oh, and also the article mentions how creepy Dave Grohl (of the foo fighters and more notably of Nirvana) looks witht that fucking moustache he's got.
It's a lie. Dave Grohl is the most beautiful man alive ever.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
